The BM Org’s “Health and Safety” email has made the same mistake again this year! You are absolutely NOT required to carry picture ID on the playa (unless you’re drinking alcohol, serving drinks, driving a car, or carrying prescription meds). It’s helpful to carry it, but not required; you can use your social security number to identify yourself if you are arrested.
