Examples of the mapping principle of the mandala

In the following illustrations the operators are always addition of the numerical value of two lines followed by division by 2 as described here. The hexagrams shown as mapping to a stated 3-dimensional coordinate are in each case the only hexagrams that can do so. (This statement is easily proven by simple arithmetic.) See if you can apply the principle to some of the other hexagrams (22 down, 42 to go.)

   maps to 1,1,1 

      these 2 map to 0,-1,-1

            these 4 map to 0,0,-1

            these 8 map to 0,0,0

            these 4 map to -1,0,0

      these 2 map to -1,0,-1

   maps to -1,-1,-1,
