I get what this woman is talking about regarding the looks and comments - I happen to be a short, fat woman who’s dated men taller, shorter, fatter and thinner then herself over the years. My husband, in fact, happens to be significantly taller then me, and weighs less than I do, and I’ve seen those looks and heard those sorts of comments. Why some human beings feel that people do or don’t belong together based on their physical size completely eludes me…. somehow, regardless of how many things two people might have in common or like about one another there is this idea, this concept, that people of a certain ‘socially accepted body type’ deserve to be with another person of the same 'socially accepted body type’.
You fall in love with who you fall in love with, and that’s the part that ought to be important.
