The first video was a bit long but Mike Wesch did a good job at keeping my attention the whole time. Its good to hear someone who understands media has positives and negatives instead of just the radicals. The story about New Guinea was really interesting, how life without media shows to be more beneficial for them.

The video made by Wesch and the students was interesting as well. Everything that the students show is really surprising. I thought it was interesting how he showed the statistics about students complete 49% of the readings assigned, and only 26% is relevant to them, he than said that this gives some of these teachers a 74% failure rate. He states that "If its not relevant to them, then they're not getting anything out of it." I think thats a good statement, I for one have a hard time understanding concepts when I have no real eager to learn about it.

I personally like a smaller classroom where you can be apart of the discussion with the teachers and the students. I like to discuss topics we learn about instead of reading and trying to obtain all the information, than being tested on that.
