New Graphic Memoir Course
My book finished and due out in January 2016, I wanted/needed to debrief and reflect. I did this by creating nearly an hours worth of videos about creating graphic memoirs. Divided into 8 chapters, each chapter focuses on one topic, highlights three master graphic memoirs and features notes and processes from his own book.

Another lucky subconscious strategy seems to be emerging. Tired of drawing the same oak trees over and over, I’ve begun really drawing the array of foliage around us in Gainseville (top image). This as we slowly open our eyes to the world around us more, are able to be in the world again. The next section takes place almost entirely in a garden, but quite unlike the garden we could barely comprehend (the black pages), the next one begins to speak to us, awaken us.
The brief final section will be a lot about noticing the nature around us, and as such, this slow introduction of more real foliage, etc., beginning now, makes structural sense.
But it emerged partially because I was bored drawing oak trees.
