It is not solely because ARTFORUM is, still, after all these years, the most excellent of art journals in publication that I include it here (yes, new jacks, I said it). Or that it is one of those art world weeks here in New York City, with the opening of the Whitney Biennial, the Armory show and, count ‘em, twelve major art fairs citywide, that just bleeds art, art, art. But mainly, because, well , there’s two small pieces on Lars Von Trier’s NYMPHOMANIAC, which opens later this month, and is, well, like anything from Lars, but especially so with this one, eagerly, eagerly awaited.
