Fashion News on The Corner- Zoe Saldana Covers Gotham Magazine September Issue

I’ve loved Zoe Saldana since I first saw Center Stage a few years back. I really loved her when I saw Columbiana. I think she’s beautiful and displays a grace and confidence that’s unmatched. She takes regal pictures and her dancing background adds to her statuesque frame.

In the mag, Zoe talks about how she’s been in the game for a while and is a coveted member of high fashion society yet she never graces the cover of the major glossies and she understands that her heritage plays a part. She states, “There are a lot of magazines that are still sort of… that only cater to a certain demographic and only put certain people on their covers,” she added. “And that’s fine – I never lose hope that one day certain big magazines can broaden their exposure of what is an American face.”

On her style and love for fashion she explains how fashion has been in her family for years due to her great-grandmothers and grandmothers being seamstresses. On the role fashion plays in her family she states, “Fashion wasn’t like a religion to us, but it is in my ancestry. It was never about luxury; it was about art.”

  

I think she looks amazing and way to go on landing a September Cover Zoe.
