Natural Hair on The Corner- I Went Green Literally!

When I was 14 I put my first color in my hair. Since then its been yellow, blond, red, orange, plum and sometimes three or four of these colors at once. Yes, way before Nicki Minaj wore colorful hair, I did it.

This year I kept saying I’m going to color my hair green. Everyone was like green? Side eyeing me and ish. But knowing the person that I am and how obsessed I am with the color, they knew I was going to do it. My mother said “oh yes that would be nice”. LOL

When I showed up on my birthday with these tresses, I was met with one word, DOPE! I love the color, in fact I may deepen it. My twist out was done with Eden BodyWorks’ new Coconut Shea Curling Pudding in Medium Hold. It was used on blown hair. I love the definition here and it smells amazing. It was moisturizing and my hair felt like a fluffy pillow. No crunch and munch like some curly puddings give you.

Well there you have it. I was knocked off my rocker for a while but I’m coming back to me. This is just the beginning. Ride wit me.

PS- I can’t use dyes on my hair. It breaks off. However, I’ve been bleaching it and changing the colors with semi permanent rinses for years. Deep conditioning is just a must.
