My skin is peeling- now what?

Do you ever peel after being in the sun, or just have really dry skin?

Even though we all know to apply sunscreen every minute we’re outside, sometimes peeling after being in the sun for the first time in months is inevitable. It happens to the best of us. AKA (post-spring break and didn’t apply enough sunscreen) me.

Resist the urge to peel, itch and rub! Moisturizing is key.

Since I have to wear a sundress tomorrow (gasp!) I needed to get rid of the peeling-evidence A.S.A.P.

Step 1: Using your favorite body wash and Loofah, gently rub the dry area(s) for a minute. You don’t want to use an exfoliating scrub if the peeling is bad because it might make it worse!

Step 2: Pat skin dry right when you get out of the shower. Apply Beautifying oil  and rub in while skin is still damp so as much moisture as possible can sink in.

Step 3: Rub your favorite Body Butter on skin over the rubbed in oil. Apply as much as you want - moisture is your friend!

Repeat this process 1-2 times a day until signs of peeling/drying are gone.

What’s your tactic to fight dry, flaky skin and avoid peeling?
