I’ve never been scuba diving and I’m not sure if I’d want to, mostly because of my lingering childhood fear of being held underwater.
I’ve been in kids illustration mode lately and it’s an awful lot of fun.

Here’s a cover and a couple of interiors that I did recently for the Washington Posts Local Living section. This was for their earth day issue and the cover story 10 ways to help kids fall in love with being outside. This list included things like going barefoot, finding fun shaped clouds (so obviously dinosaurs), discovering insects, and learning about animal tracks.

Fun Fact: when I was growing up I was a boy scout for a while, and at summer camp there was this giant rock that had a passage through it that was filled with ice even in July. It wasn’t really that long and was “officially off limits” but also this weird kind of rite of passage to crawl through it. Also it was sadly lacking in pirate treasure.

Briar was tired of asking her parents for a pet and decided to take matters into her own hands.

Went to the Eras tour movie today. Feeling drained from sitting in the dark for 3 hours with Taylor Swift and my thoughts but still thinking about it. Quick doodle while I eat cake and watch Bake Off.
