Our veterans have made tremendous personal sacrifices in order to serve our country, yet many face chronic homelessness issues. The creation of stable and permanent housing along with case management services is a crucial step in helping to address the needs of our veterans, and I am glad that this grant award will do just that.
Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif) applauded a $72 million grant announced today by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Department of Veterans Affairs to assist public housing agencies across the country to supply permanent housing and supportive services for homeless veterans.
