Born and raised on a small farm near Memphis, Tennessee, I started playing and singing around the age of eight. I played some horns in high school and college, but dropped out of college to play in the clubs for several years. I have played every dirt floor bar and “hole in the wall” for a hundred miles around Memphis. I have also been blessed to play large church functions and charity events, including St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Hope works of Memphis. The personal accomplishments that I treasure most are: having one of my recordings on national radio, several standing ovations (both solo and group) and of course, every song I complete is a personal triumph!
