Alright this is Important Business here, I have a thing to point out. I didn’t even notice it until the motion happened to catch my eye on another gifset, because it’s mostly hidden. I guess my mind always glossed over it like “Poe points out jacket, Finn begins taking jacket off, Poe reassures him, Finn shrugs jacket back on”. And I don’t know if anyone else did the same, because I feel like I haven’t seen anyone talking about it, but I could be wrong.

BUT LEMME POINT THIS OUT, because Finn has that jacket off his shoulder and suddenly it snaps back up into place, and then he looks up in mild surprise. At the same time Poe’s arms/shoulders jostle, and that’s the moment when he’s saying “No, no, no, no!” and assuring Finn it’s alright. Finn only starts to take the jacket off. Poe grabs it and puts it back on him. You can even almost see his hand for a frame or two there. And, given the little tug on both sides, he straightens it into place, too. He’s that adamant about Finn keeping the jacket for himself, that immediately sure about giving away this beloved, personal thing of his. He wants to make sure Finn knows he’s not upset, he’s not asking for it back, he’s happy to let Finn keep it.

Listen, I love this scene and this damn jacket so much, this is like finding another present hidden under the Christmas tree, my energy is renewed all over again.
