Customized Video Channel for Tumblr Blogs
Customized Video Channel for Tumblr Blogs
It was recently brought to our attention that Tumblr is causing some issues with members embedded FrameSocket video channels. A recent update to their TinyMCE (HTML) editor is stripping out portions of our embed code. Consequently video channels are not working on certain Tumblr pages and posts. No worries! While we work to resolve this issue permanently, here’s a quick fix:Step 1: Visit your Tumblr preferences page (see screenshot below). Look for the ‘Edit posts using’ section and select the radio button next to 'plain text/HTML’. Save your changes and that’s it! Embedded channels should now work within your Tumblr pages or posts.
Step 2:Login to FrameSocket and select the 'My Channel’ tab. Under the right side navigation, choose “Embed Channel’. Copy the code. NOTE: For Tumblr embeds we recommend setting your channel to a maximum of 640 pixels wide.
Step 3: Now visit your Tumblr blog and create either a new page via the 'Customize appearance’ section or a new 'Text’ post. Paste the FrameSocket code and save the page/post. Your channel should appear on the page and look something like this.
