hey if you’re a gay guy and you grope a girl bc you think it’s funny or whatever i really truly don’t care that you’re not sexually attracted to women that’s a weak excuse for violating someone’s personal space and you know it
Remember back when No Election Vouchers had literally one single American dollar to declare in campaign donations? Those were the days!
According to a special report to the SEEC filed today, Microsoft has dropped a sizable donation into the coffer.
So did Vulcan.
Honest Elections may not be 100% perfect (the SEEC is…kind of a zoo), but it’s still pretty laudable, and it has a ton of support—we endorsed it, but also most of the people we endorsed endorsed it. And up until recently, No Election Vouchers has had very little in the way of actual revenue.
Since the last filing date (last week), though, it’s really blown up. Here are some other contributions that they’ve filed:
This PAC that represents real estate interests and developers:
Puget Sound Energy:
And these guys, who lease out commercial buildings and do other rich people stuff:
They’re still pretty far behind in fundraising, though; out-of-state donations have flooded Honest Elections, in large part because a lot of DC-based groups are hoping to make Seattle into an example. Plus, as Heidi Groover pointed out this week, there’s been a ton of money flowing in.
Less than two weeks out from elections, these contributions aren’t surprising; it was pretty clear from the start that No Election Vouchers would do a lot of late-in-the-game solicitation from players who have a vested interest in keeping elections the way they are.
Which serves as a good reminder…have you voted yet?
