My favourite albums of all time

Long time no see, huh?

Don’t worry! I am back :P

Just to share with you my 10 favourite albums of all time. Basically rock and some jazz, from 1959 to 1976. Be warned. I tried to chose an album per artist/band. And I chose my two personal favourites tracks of each album as well and some random comments.

I just say: try to listen to them. Highly recommended. You won’t regret.

10 - The Soft Parade, The Doors (1969)

“Touch Me”.“Wild Child”. Jim Morrison’s poetry and voice.

9 - The Dark Side of the Moon, Pink Floyd (1973)

“The Great Gig in The Sky”.“Breathe”. Brainy music.

8 - Led Zeppelin IV, Led Zeppelin (1971)

“The Battle of Evermore”, “Four Sticks”. Seminal music.

7 - Pet Sounds, Beach Boys (1966)

“I wasn’t made for these times”, “Wouldn’t be so nice”. Poignant.

6 - John Lennon/Plastic Ono Band, John Lennon (1970)

“Hold On”, “Isolation”. The most brutal, honest selfportrait of rock history.

5 - A Love Supreme, John Coltrane (1964)

“Acknowledge”, “Psalm”. Makes you believe in  God in the right way.

4 - Kind of Blue, Miles Davis (1959)

“All blues”, “So what”. The beggining of “modern music”.

3 - Who’s Next, The Who (1971)

“Song is over”, “Behind Blue Eyes”. Pure energy.

2 - “How Dare you!”, 10cc (1976)

“Lazy Ways”, “I wanna rule the world”. Simply the most criminally underrated band in history. Got to know them NOW!

1 - “Revolver”, The Beatles (1966)

“Tomorrow Never Knows”, “For No One”. The best album of the best in history. Defining my taste in music since 1980.
