20somethings Spoiled and Lazy?
The millennial generation — about 50 million people between ages 18 and 29 — is the only age group in the nation that doesn’t cite work ethic as one of its “principal claims to distinctiveness,” according to a new Pew Research Center study
I think the difference is that older people generally like to measure their work by hours, and to pretend that they work in a binary fashion. I, for one, measure my work by my impact and I’m perfectly okay with the fact that I’m doing work every waking moment of every day. If I’m not writing, designing, pitching, negotiating, studying or some other “ing”, I’m doing the last and most important ones: Thinking. Planning. Creating. Enjoy composing your studies on how lazy we are, Gen-Whatever. We’ll be busy advancing your obsolescence.
