Random Thought #25: Filling The Void

There is always going to be that time in your life when you’ve lost something and their is just an empty space left behind. Whether it’s a loved one, a pet, a relationship, religion, sports, or even materialistic things. There is always going to be a time when you feel empty inside, where  you feel like you’ve lost a part of you and your very existence hangs within the balance of making or breaking yourself. In order to fill that void it is only natural to find a replacement, new friends, new relationships, new things to put in the place of what you’ve had before. There is always going to be a right and wrong reason for filling these holes, for instance; just wanting to have a girl/boy friend just because you want to have someone there for you and to care for and what not. If that may be the case then, it really isn’t something you or anyone else should be doing. You need to accept the fact that whatever you have lost is not going to come back and that filling the void will take time. If it was something you really care about you’re going to have to learn to let go. Death or loss is something we all experience sometime in life and there is nothing we can do to stop it, it happens for a reason whether that reason is positive or negative. The only way to cope with it is to accept the facts of the natural world, and move on to bigger and better things.

To replace is one thing, but when you’ve truly found something that is genuine and real, it won’t be considered a replacement, it will be permanent.
