Mount Sherman - Lake and Park counties, CO - 14,036 ft (4,278 m)

Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s - Double IPA - 8% ABV

GPS Track

It’s the last Monday before I have to go back to working a Mon-Fri job like a sucker.  Oh well - have to fund my habits somehow, right?  Since it was the last one, the wife and I decided to try to get out and do something big.  Neither of us have much in terms of winter/snow gear, so we thought we might have a hard time with this mountain so early in the season.  I guess we just got lucky that it was such a dry winter.  After getting to the summit we decided to keep going and bag Gemini Peak since it was so close.

Deviant Dale’s was the beer for the day.  SO glad that Oskar Blues started canning this beer.  I had tried it before at various festivals and at their joints.  Always loved it.  You know it’s going to be good when it takes home silver in the IPA category at GABF last year.  And it certainly didn't disappoint at elevation either!  16oz at 8% over 14k ft?  I’m no math wiz, but I am pretty sure that equals HAPPY FUN TIME!
