A Visit to Knotty Bicsie Studio
Today, I’ll like to take sometime to share my awesome visit to Knotty Bicsie Studio. For those who do not know, Knotty Bicsie is a friendly local (Singapore) knitting and crochet studio. It started out as a humble home-studio some 8 years ago and through much love and dedication, it has made its’ way into the prime area in Singapore.
I chanced upon Knotty Bicsie about a year ago while searching for local crochet websites on the internet. Betsy is the super woman behind Knotty Bicsie. Thanks to Facebook, getting connected was a breeze. It didn’t took me long to get to know Betsy a little better. She is a very friendly, generous and talented lady. :) We always planned to meet up over coffee and to talk about our crafting interest, however it never happen due to our busy schedules.
The wait is finally over! I finally got to meet her and boy I was looking forward to this day! We met at her new cosy craft studio located at
Orchard Plaza #02-51
Here is a photo of her cosy studio. (photo taken from Knotty Bicsie’s Facebook Page)
As I inched my feet towards the studio, my excitement raised as if a kid spotted her favourite candy shop. You can’t blame a craft fanatic like me visiting a knitting and crochet studio for the1st time in her entire life. :P
Standing outside the studio, I saw a mother and daughter knitting and crocheting away while Betsy guided them closely. It was a heart-warming sight. As I slowly pushed open the glass door, Betsy welcomed me with a smile. While waiting for her class to end, I sat at one corner and my eyes went wondering around, admiring every handmade creations displayed in her studio. Not to mention, the entire shelf of yarn too! Ahh.. Feels a bit like heaven. :)
Betsy and I chatted for quite a bit. I really admire her will-power and determination in making her dreams into reality. 8 years of dedication and hard work put into her passion really paid off. She is such a mother figure when it comes to knitting and crocheting in Singapore as well as someone who inspires me to craft-on. :)
Yay! A picture with the super woman holding onto the mini-crochet wall art I made for her.
This wall art is made according to Knotty Bicsie’s official logo.
Here is a photo of the completed wall art. What do you think? :)
Bumped into another Rachel in the store! :D

Found out that she bought a copy of my Lil’ Spanish Wedding Dolls Crochet Pattern and completed these lovely dolls in 2 weeks! Thank you for your support, Rachel. Your dolls are so beautiful! :)
I’ve also purchased a set of Clover Amour Crochet Hooks from Betsy. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. The grip is so comfortable, the hooks slight really smoothly on every stitch and best of all, my fingers no longer hurt from long hours of crocheting! I’m totally loving the pretty colours on the hooks too.
What a fruitful visit! If you are living in Singapore and have always wanted to pick up some crochet or knitting skills, I highly recommend you to attend Betsy’s classes. If I’m not wrong, you get to choose what projects you want to work on and pace your own lessons. All you need to do is to make a booking to save the slots. How awesome is that! You can visit Knotty Bicsie’s website “Here“ or read her blog ”Here“ for more details.
I would love to go back someday. Thank you Betsy for your hospitality and it was really nice meeting you Rachel Lee. :)
Cheers, Rachel H
