Rules: In a text post, list ten books that have stayed with you in some way. Don’t take but a few minutes, and don’t think too hard —- they don’t have to be the “right” or “great” works, just the ones that have touched you. Tag ten people, including me, so I’ll see your list. Make sure you let your friends know you’ve tagged them.
I was tagged by cramitwithwalnuts-ugly and secretsofpersephone.
(In no particular order…outside of number one)
- The Outsiders - S.E. Hinton
- Chocolate Fever - Robert Kimmel Smith
- Say Hello, Vanessa - Marjorie Weinman Sharmat
- The Harry Potter series - J.K. Rowling
- Cotillion - Georgette Heyer
- The Monster at the End of This Book - Jon Stone
- Lessons of a Scarlet Lady - Emma Wildes
- Ramona Quimby, Age 8 - Beverly Cleary
- The Mischief of the Mistletoe - Lauren Willig
- The Julian Kestrel Mysteries - Kate Ross
Half of the list is books I read and loved as a child. I feel that those books were instrumental in developing my love of reading. (And in the case of Say Hello, Vanessa, made a shy child feel like she wasn’t alone.)
I am tagging: backfromthedeadred, thorified, blizzardphoenix, kywildcat324, and theglorifiedcollector. (And no, that’s not ten, I’m sorry.)
