Sometimes you come across furniture and accessories where form and function collide with a beautiful end result. Founded by Paul de Zwart (founding publisher of Wallpaper* magazine), Another Country produce contemporary craft furniture, calling on the familiar and unpretentious forms of British country kitchen style, Shaker, traditional Scandinavian and Japanese woodwork. Based in London and with a workshop in Dorset, their products are built to last, both in terms of construction and style, using FSC certified solid wood, mostly oak and ash, and with a strong remit to manufacture sustainably as well as make everything recyclable. Their core business model is based around a direct to customer sales, so that the cost, time and energy associated with traditional channels of distribution and storage is minimized.
