Our derpy bantam gold-laced wyandotte started laying this weekend!!! We had our sights on a different fate for her initially since wyandottes are dual purpose. We later learned they are slow to mature, so decided to give her a reprieve. Finally around 30 weeks, our patience paid off!

We are super proud of this as she is one our first two chickens. She fit into our palms when we got her and now…well now I’m suspicious if she’s even a bantam. This girl is huge and her eggs are 2x the size of my bantam amerucana. If we can keep them laying through out the winter, I’m pretty sure we won’t need to buy eggs ever again :-)
