    Move-In Day 101

It’s hard to believe, but move-in day is just three weeks away! August 21 is the big day! You can start moving in at 8:00 AM.

The Housing and Residential Education department wants to make your day go as smoothly as possible. Here are a few tips to help:

    • There will be information tents around campus staffed with university representatives to assist you with any questions you may have, literature from a variety of campus departments, cookies and water for refueling and shopping carts/dollies for you to help load your items. (Please note that the shopping carts and dollies are very popular; during peak times, there may be a short wait. We recommend bringing your own dolly if you have one).
    • Student athletes will be on hand ready to assist you with any questions and to help carry any items you may need assistance with.
    • Cardboard recycling areas for your boxes will be around campus. Please break the boxes down and place them in the marked areas.
    • Parking on move-in day will be available in all campus lots. Parking permit requirements will not be enforced on Aug 21-24. Please DO NOT park in fire lanes, barricaded areas or handicapped spaces.
    • Remember to double the check the What to Bring and What Not to Bring list when you are packing. The Move-in Guide also provides useful information.

The weather for move-in day is usually a beautiful summer Colorado day with temperatures that can get into the upper 80’s – low 90’s.  We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes and bring some sun screen along just in case.

For last minute shopping needs, Greeley has plenty of stores including Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, WalMart, Ace Hardware, Walgreen’s and a variety of grocery stores.

For any further questions you may have, please don’t hesitate to contact the Housing and Residential Education office at 970-351-2721.
