When Bumi was first born, I’m sure Aang and Katara joked around about what sort of bender he would be.   Aang would try to teach him the marble trick, while Katara would lend him her pouch to practice the water whip.   They were so sure he would be a bender it didn’t even cross their minds what would happen if he wasn’t.  I’m sure Bumi felt like the reason why his parents had more kids was because he wasn’t good enough.   He must have tried to be a bender so hard….thinking he was just doing something wrong.  


But then Sokka became super uncle :D
