Here’s a great local opportunity to demonstrate why the arts matter to our city’s public schools!  Open to all K-12 students within Los Angeles County, the 2013 African American Heritage Month Poster Competition asks students to create an original work of art that depicts the impact of a “pioneer” in African Americans’ fight to obtain freedom and equality in America.  See the attached image for all the details.
