Titelbild: Ein Haus aus Kalkutta / Kolkata. Die Stadt zeigt sich hier einmal mehr im Aufbruch und im Abbruch – die Stadt, deren materielle und ideelle Einheit immer mehr wegzubrechen scheint – die bisweilen zersplittert erscheinende fragmentierte Stadt, in der hell und dunkel – polierte klare und matte beschmutzte raue Flächen direkt einander durchdringen und überlagern, in der das Provisorische und das Feste, das Improvisierte und das Dauerhafte den Ort bestimmen – ihn formen und oft bis zur Unkenntlichkeit verformen – in der arm und reich nebeneinander existieren und doch die Verschiedenartigkeit und Vielfarbigkeit der Welt immer weniger ihren Ort zu finden scheint.

L’unità materializzata e ideale della città sempre di più sembrano a stroncare – la città frammentata, chi talvolta sembra scheggiata, in quale luminoso e scuro – superficie chiaro e fiacco sporcato rugoso direttamente insieme si compenetrano e si sovraporrono, in quale il provvisorio ed il fisso – il improvvisato ed il durabile determinano il luogo – lo formano e talvolta lo sformano fino all’ irriconoscibilità. La città, in quale i poveri ed i ricci coesistono fianco a fianco e nondimeno l’eterogeneità e la policromia del mondo sempre di meno trovano il suo posto.
