This project was part of a seminar class about the relation between food and architecture. Even though I tried, I have to admit I didn’t really understand it. I decided instead to think about how the kitchen lost importance in a house. The design was built up around these thoughts.

The kitchen is made the biggest space and put in the middle of the room layout, to connect all the other rooms. It is the intent to make the kitchen a space where one wants to be. It shouldn’t just be a technical room for the bothersome preperation of food, but also a place where one enjoys company, preparation of food, and the meal itself.

North is on the right on the plan.
The renderings are in the late afternoon.
