Blue-eyed crooner Robin Thicke hit a new groove in his latest single and American pop chart topper, “Blurred Lines,” featuring rapper T.I. and singer-producer Pharrell.

Many will compare Thicke’s gait to the likes of Justin Timberlake (for obvious reasons), and may even say he’s ripping JT’s style–but don’t get it twisted. In the mainstream, Thicke’s done his soulful bit with a longer, consistent stride.

In a bawdy video featuring Pharrell’s matchless swag, Thicke showcases women so beautiful they seem like dolls. Titillating and neck snapping, they’re those ‘round-the-way chicks your mother warned you about, but you can’t look away. Should you respect them or slap them around or, hell, let them slap you around? Whatever the case, it’s them you want. Is what you share with them “beneficial” friendships or one-night loves? The truth, inevitably, lies somewhere amid those “blurred lines.”

Whatever warning, you can’t stay away from those “good girls.” Those femme fatales might burn you–but like this song’s baseline, they’ll make you feel so good while doing it. “Hey-hey-hey,” Thicke: we’ve got a summer jam here.
