Left is re-imagined Mulan, right is still from Mulan film. Pretty drastic difference, not only in the color of her skin, but also in the shape of her features (new lips are fuller, new face is slimmed and longer). The new Mulan’s eyes now seem to have a blue highlight, making them look like Western blue eyes. Hmm…

What the everloving fuck.

It’s a quick ten minute job, and by no means perfect, but the whitewashing pissed me off enough I decided to try making a few corrections. As you can probably tell, original picture on left, altered image on right. I couldn’t do anything about her lips, but I did what I could for the rest.

I don’t think I got her skintone quite right, but this was the best I could do with my limited image editing skills.
