Marlon Gobel’s spring/2012 presentation did not disappoint. He showcased color, pattern and texture into his supermarket-themed show, so that menswear could break out of its mundane, gray shell.

In true Marlon Gobel style, this collection wasn’t for the shy wallflower. Marlon got playful with lemon, strawberry, orange, blueberry, grape, watermelon & plum prints often times tucked beneath classic suit silhouettes. As always, there was also smart use of color, Marlon’s signature.  Even the usual blue suit was a vibrant blue that stuck out on the runway. Balancing out the eye-catching prints were expertly tailored must-have corduroy trousers and masculine blazers. Footwear was also another hit with Walk Over’s Derby 100’s still bringing a dash of even more color with their bright soles. Dapper hairstyles of the long on top, short on the sides look matched Marlon’s aesthetic perfectly.

Runway photos coming up!
