It is necessary to write down some useful information at various stages of the task processing for further reference. It is also cool if you and your contact can communicate with each other on the task you send to him. “Post Comment” is just such a feature that can implement the functions above. Besides, it can help you save the specific time when the message is put down. Simply, Comment can write down the status of the task at any time and provide a communication channel between you and your contact(s).
This new feature will come in the next new version. Let’s first take a closer look of it:
On the viewing page, you can add a comment.
You can add comments to all the tasks except deleted tasks and archived tasks.
Each comment includes no more than 1024 chars. Before clicking the “Post” icon, please recheck what you have input, because once posted, the comment will be neither modified nor deleted.
Comments on your own task will help you keep track of it.
Comments on an assigned task will build a bridge between you and your contact(s). Thus, you can “talk with” your contact(s).
In addition, comments are supported to send to more than one contact.
Here are four points you need to pay attention to:
1. If the task is your own, the comments you add to it can be only seen by yourself. Once the task gets sent, the previous comments will also been sent to your contact(s).
2. If the task is sent to one of your contact, you both can see all the comments.
3. If the task is sent to several of your contacts, the comments you add will be seen by all the receivers. But the comments added by one of the receivers only can be seen by you, the owner of the task.
4. If a task with comments gets converted to a project, the comments will go to the Description field of the project, but not all the comments will be preserved, because there are at most 2048 chars in the Description field.
When the next new version releases, with the Comment feature, you will not only keep track of the task in time but also communicate with your contacts on Doit.im at any time.
