This picture made me laugh really hard.  Monkey takes self portrait.

from The Guardian

Wildlife photographer David Slater might have learned his lesson about leaving camera unattended especially when crested black macaque monkeys are around.

On his recent trip to a national park in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, a sneaky macaque monkey grabbed his camera and start snapping pictures, according to Mail Online.

It appears to be one smiley monkey self portrait but actually it seems the monkey is not smiling at all, said Slater, “At first there was a lot of grimacing with their teeth showing because it was probably the first time they had ever seen a reflection.”

Macaque monkeys said to be known for their “intelligence and dexterity” are all over on Slater’s camera when one of the monkey’s own reflection in the lens fascinates them inadvertently hitting the button many times and the result was fabulous.

Next time David Slater would do is leave his lap top and this chimp could figure out to join Facebook. For a beginner, not bad self-portrait at all for Facebook profile.

One of the photo actually was taken sideways enough for skeptics to think that it’s actually the monkey took them, – without saying cheese of course.

The crested black macaque is said to be critically endangered.
