The first trailer has arrived online for Chef, in which Jon Favreau stars as the titular cook who becomes disillusioned with being forced to serve the food his boss wants him to serve.
Deciding that his creativity is being stifled, he decides to strike out on his own, leaving his post at a glitzy, popular restaurant in favour of opening… a taco truck.
However, it isn’t long before his passion for food comes flooding back, and there’s a queue of hungry customers snaking their way around the block, helping him reconnect with his estranged family into the bargain.

Written and directed by Favreau, this looks like a low-key but charming comedy, with a seriously heavyweight support cast popping up to help things along.
Co-starring Scarlett Johansson, Dustin Hoffman, Sofia Vergara and Robert Downey Jr., Chef will open in the UK on 18 June 2014
