Community Basic Crisis Room Decorum Review

image

Community’s 100th episode was a great one. And man, the writing is on POINT this season. Major props to Dan and the gang. It truly seems like they are just having fun.

In general, Community looks amazing in season six. The lighting, camera, special effects, etc. are so much better than the last few seasons. There are so many needlessly wonderful sequences that seem fairly high budget. It looks to me that the Community team is running wild with creative freedom, while keeping everything grounded in reality.

Beyond the general greatness of this episode, there were so many stand out moments in Basic Crisis Room Decorum. Frankie’s hope speech, Britta’s musical sequence, the Dean with the cans of olives, Chang’s attempt to ruin City College, and many other skits sent me in fits of laughter. Even the more subtle bits, like the decorating of the situation study room were funny in and of itself.

Like I said in my last review, it’s amazing how perfectly Frankie and Elroy fit in at Greendale. They are the perfect additions to the show. Both original characters that bring something entirely new to the table, but, at the same time, being the personality types that complement Greendale’s oddball-ness wonderfully. And the relationships being built between the new and old characters (such as the one between Annie and Frankie), are extremely refreshing.

Anyways, you should go watch Basic Crisis Room Decorum on Yahoo Screen now. Meow.
