This workshop will highlight several models of activism and community organizing that integrates #hiphop into their #socialjustice work. Presenters from a variety of artistic, activist, and organizing backgrounds will creatively share their work, followed by critical reflection on the lessons, opportunities, challenges, and contradictions of the intersection of #art and justice movements. Participants will have space to apply these frameworks to their own #communities and projects. Presenters include Michael Premo of #SandyStoryline, Jessica Solomon of #ArtInPraxis, Invincible of #ComplexMovements, Sacramento Knoxx and Christy Beiber of #RAIZUP and Mark Anthony Johnson of #DignityAndPowerNOW facilitated by Sage Crump of #ArtIsChange.
