Good news from the security exit (la terrasse new yorkaise…)!!! These are sometimes hard to find… But this time, I found one while picking out of my window, hidden between Mama bird’s belly and the lemon thyme… Following the last story about the found egg in my herb’s pot at home 2 weeks ago, baby bird is born!!! After about two weeks of constant sitting, (male and female take turns, one for the day shift, one for the night shift… smart birds…) the egg hatched, and I just took a few careful pics of the brand new birdy yesterday… and today… We have the chance to host a family of mourning doves, ‘tourterelles tristes’ in french, even if they don’t seem (to me) to look very sad, they’ve been given this name because of the sound of their songs… Well, nonsense!!! Nothing sounds sad to me, and since I found the egg in the morning, I’ll call them morning birds! Tourterelles du matin, in french…

Any suggestions for birdy’s name?

To be continued…

PEACE
