Three cartoonists interpreted original works as part of our special event BRAIN FRAME: EXPLAINED, at the Chicago Zine Fest on March 15th, 2014. Hannah Chavez, with help from Gabriela Cracraft, read along to a pan-imation of Mapinguari, a giant one-page comic about the hunt for a mythic sloth; Bela Shayevich, with help from Ainslie Morse and Matt Tracey, read Hand and Foot, a romance of limbs; and Lyra Hill performed Banana Glove Game, a sad story about a fruit toss gone wrong, with three analog slide projectors and soundscapes by Tyson Torstenson.
