A melange of contradictory tendencies.

A passage in the beginning of the book, Delivered from Distraction, really jumped out at me.

“ADD is a melange of often contradictory tendencies and traits that swirl around within you, stirring up different parts of your life at different times as it makes its inconsistent rounds.”

After my initial doubt about having ADD, since I had survived in life & school so far, reading this passage really caused me to think that I might possibly have it.

Even before reading this book I had begun to think of myself as being contradictory. I find it easy to focus on things that really interest me and difficult to focus on tasks that I dislike doing, or even on simple things that make up every day life.
