#tbt when I was on set for P-Valley’s cosplayer scene (they called it “comic-con” LOLLLL)
It honestly was so hard to find a stylist that knows how to do hanfu makeup (they don’t allow you to do your own makeup because it has to be set-approved), they had to go through 3 different stylists to get someone to know how to work with traditional hanfu style and East Asian faces. At the end, I’m glad they found someone who knows tho🤗this is why POC, REPRESENTATION, and DIVERSITY is so important in the industry.
Honestly not even sure if they included me in the scene because I was the only asian person on set but I got to cosplay in hanfu on screen so that’s nice. It was FUN AF to meet other cosplayers, it actually felt like a con, but instead we’re getting paid to cosplay vs paying to get into a con
And as always because of NDA I have to post these like WAY after it was taken lol idk what episode this scene was even on. But if anyone catches it, let me know

Never would I have thought my face would be the thing that helped me get casted into a movie
This time the hair-makeup stylists moussed my hair down. I thought the stylist was going to go crazy for “punk” makeup on my face but she just did small dabs here & there…the previous one for BMF didn’t even need to touch my face for makeup…can someone tell me why every makeup stylist doesn’t do anything on my face🤔 is my face just not real-life-photoshoppable, invalid format lol
Entire fit is from the set’s wardrobe/stylist. Jewelry & earrings are my own (sponsored by @yesstyle ) idk why they didn’t let me wear just regular baggy jeans 👩🏻🎤imo the jeans don’t really need the flowers lol but hey what do I know, I’m not the stylist, I’m just the actor. Whatever you give me I’ll rock it
Lol me and @jamiemichellekelley and Abby (I forgot to get her IG D:) were the most extra out of all the extras (hahaha we were “The Trio”). The PA said she stuck out too much and I was too distinct lollll tbh production should make a filler scene with just us for comic relief 🤣
We honestly had the most shared screentime with the lead😅the camera just wants to see us fools
I ran on 1hr of sleep, apples and a salad that day. We were there since 5:30am for this 14hr shoot. #anditsonlymonday but at least I looked good🌟

Trying a new product, as recommended by @salon_lihga ✂️
It came in a 35g container. Definitely has a professional flexible wax feel, so I’d use this sparingly (compared to Gatsby 80g containers)
💪Hold: 8/10 (8.5/10 with dryer)
strength isn’t as hard as Gatsby Wild Shake but it has the flexibility and slightly stronger hold than Gatsby Loose Shuffle
💥Texture: 10/10
as a popular choice wax used by many professional Japanese hairstylists, definitely THE best. Lives up to its name.
🌪️ Flexibility: 10/10
Basically it feels like Gatsby Loose Shuffle, but with better hold strength & styling power.
However, strength + hardness is still lower than Gatsby Wild Shake
Will definitely experiment more with maybe mixing wild shake + Arimino together, or I may try getting Arimino freeze or Lipps Hard Active
🧼Wash: 10/10
I do enjoy that Arimino Spice Sisters hair wax DOES wash off much more easily than Wildshake, so it’ll save me more on shampoo and conditioner
🌊Also! Finally able to get my favorite conditioner, Pantene Pro-V Texture. It’s discontinued so the shampoo + conditioner combo is hard to find (also pricy, but I saved up for the conditioner. Shampoo is next)😭But yes, this was my holy grail in high school in helping with the “lift” for styling anime-hair
