There is not much known about the revolutionary Nat Turner other than he was born into slavery October 2, 1800, on a Southampton County plantation grew up and became a preacher. On August 21, 1831, he led a violent disorganized insurrection and that his last words Nat Turner’s last words, before he was hung were “they crucified Jesus didn’t they”. Everything else is myth told by a white attorney who took a so-called confession, which continue to scare white folk to this very day.
