If you find This Star Won’t Go Out in your local brick-andmortar bookstore, you might be disarmed by the book. The dust jacket is colorful – a mix of mostly lime green with white (and a bit of green) Sans-Serif font and a red-orangey wall. Esther smiles up at you from the jacket, the spine, and the photobooth strip of selfies on the back of the jacket. The endpapers have pictures of her journal covers, and the cover is a deep purple – unusual for most books. But it is so Esther.
