Today I was taken to look at Barney’s holiday window displays. The theme was Disney. How trite, I thought, as I traveled in my owner’s Falabella bag on the way there. By the way, she quite unceremoniously stuffed me into it. Anyway, with regards to the triteness, I couldn’t have been more wrong. The highlight / lynchpin was a specially made animated short featuring Minnie Mouse. For reasons altogether unknown, she is plunged headlong into a hallucinatory trip after viewing a Lanvin dress in a Parisian shop window. Trust me, it gets better.
There are ensembles by Balenciaga and Proenza Schouler and cameos from Alber Elbaz, Carinne Roitfeld, Anna Dello Russo, Lady Gaga and Captain Hook.
Goofy is modeling Balmain.
