Bud Lights and Blondes: Five Minutes With Craig Sager
By Dan Steinberg
This article is from 2008, but somehow I had never read it. Great stuff. Loved the stuff on Stacy (I didn’t realize she was a Luvabull!) and his take on the “uniform” they made him wear during the 2008 Olympics:
Oh my God! It’s terrible! I’ve got to wear this little vest bib! I’m getting a lot of grief from the NBA players. You know, ‘Where’s your sport coat, where’s your tie?’
Not sure what the current NBA players on Team USA think of the blue polo, but I hope they are just as dismayed. (Well maybe not “just as.” I do have to admit this year’s polo is a million times better than that awful “smock” or whatever from 2008. Anyways… Free Sager’s suits!! ;)
2008 vs. 2012
Here’s an article from last May:

Does This Suit Make Me Look Insane?
By Wesley Morris
This article was fun to read although I completely disagree with this sentence with every fiber of my being:
Craig Sager is wearing the ugliest clothes you’ve ever seen.
If by “ugliest” he means “awesomest” then ok. :p
He kinda sorta redeems himself here:
Are the suits ever wearing him? The answer, with rare exceptions, like an ominous, galactic-looking jacket that I call Hale-Bopp, is no. Both the man and the clothes are often in unison.
This I agree with:
He dresses the way he does because there’s entertainment in these clothes. They want attention and they get it. He happens to carry them off with confidence. But there’s romantic aspiration in them, too.
And file this under, 'Who could blame him?’:
He dresses like a man whose true goal was to meet or marry a Luvabull.
Anyway, that’s all I’ve got. Hope everyone is enjoying the Olympics!
