I’ve fallen down a deep, dark rabbit hole. And it’s filled with glitter.
In an effort to make taking care of myself a happier thing, Tir took me to Lush. And ice cream. But I didn’t get a picture of the ice cream.
Anyway, I picked up a couple bath bombs (Sex Bomb, Blackberry, and there’s a Golden Egg hiding in the bag, attempting to coat the house in glitter.) I’m saving those for later, because I wanted to start with the Sugar Scrub (the green half dome hiding behind the bombs).
Wow. I sometimes use a homemade sugar scrub (it’s posted somewhere in my archives) and while I’ll continue to use it regularly for cost reasons, it sure was nice to use a higher quality scrub. We broke it up into smaller pieces and can probably get 3 scrubs out of that one chunk.
The R&B Hair Conditioner was Tir’s pick and he’s loving it. His hair is short and thick and this makes it so soft and smells really good. The No Drought dry shampoo is for both of us as summer moves in and there are days you just need a quick clean without the water. Especially because drought and all in California.
The Silky Underwear dusting powder is freakishly smooth and will be a godsend this summer.
I’ve used the Herbalism cleanser wash once. It works. I mean, it made my face smooth and the next morning there was noticeably less redness at a problem site. But man, it smells weird. Still, I think it works better than any of the chemical stuff I’ve tried and it smells better than chemicals. Just weird.
My favorite purchase was the Lemony Flutter cuticle cream. I’m putting that everywhere - just a tiny bit goes a long way. It smells so good and made a huge difference in my cuticles and feet overnight.
Next up, I’m interested in the shampoo bars, but I’m seeing mixed reviews about how fast they strip colored hair. Any advice?
