Day 1

The Centre CC - Her Binder Project - 2015-09 - The Storyteller - Landscape

DAY 1

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

The way that you can truly begin to embrace and be content with the story that God is writing with your life is by knowing that your story is not to be compared or shaped by anyone else other than Jesus. He alone is the One who will transform you from the inside out, and that’s what changes everything…and that’s what makes you a storyteller.

And this is something we all have to remember. So often times it seems that even after we begin to follow Christ, that our stories haven’t changed all that much. Sometimes it feels like even when we go to church and read our bibles and try to surround ourselves with like minded people that we still come up short. Maybe you look back over the years and as much as you try to have no regrets and think positively, there’s just so much that you wish you could change. And if you have ever felt this way, you have to know this:

Your transformation story is the change that Christ has made in you, and just because you:

1. Didn’t get the job you were really hope for
2. Can no longer trust in the people you used to count on
3. Didn’t accomplish the goals you set out to accomplish this year
4. Aren’t where you thought you would be at the age you are now
5. Feel like your story just isn’t good enough

You have to know that just because a certain situation in your life didn’t change the way you thought it would, it is in the arms of Jesus that you will find the ultimate change–a completely fresh perspective on a life that seemed to be falling apart. Only Jesus can do that and that’s your story. That’s what you have to be excited about. This is your transformation story and this is what matters. Don’t compare yourself to what you see on social media or television or in other women. Only Jesus.
