This is my digital restoration of mydaguerreotypeboyfriend’s posted daguerreotype of Miriam J. Robbins great-great-great-grandfather, Sylvester Fredenburg (1844 - 1879)

The original daguerreotype is clearly damaged in the upper left part of the image, and the placement of his right eye could not be where it is without serious skull malformation, which is not born out by the rest of the image.
