Hello!

What a weekend it has been!

And it’s all been meuvie related (except for fabulous dressed I bought over the weekend at the mall— which cooooould be worn to the meuvies… ;) )!

On Friday I convinced Brian to take a visit to Sound Garden by casually mentioning that they may have The Raid 2 on blu-ray and lucky for me he jumped at the bait.
By the end of that trip I walked away with:

-The Wicker Man soundtrack
-Under the Skin soundtrack (I was super upset that they didn’t have it on blu-ray)
-Safety Last!
-People on Sunday

(both of those Criterion blu-rays were only $14.99 each, btw)

And He walked away with :

-The Raid 2
-The Sorcerer
-Rossellini’s History Films: Renaissance and Enlightenment (only $20!)

Sunday was spent waking up bright and early to drive to Philadelphia (a mere 2 hours away) for the Exhumed Films: Lost Films Festival! To be honest, this is the first time in awhile that we done anything this fun. Usually we are both exhausted on the weekends and the thought of setting an alarm and driving out of state is not something we ever truly feel like doing— we’ll plan it and then never do it. =/ But since I’ve been having to get up on Saturdays to do stuff with my mom involving my sister’s upcoming wedding AND I’ve had a ton of days off of work since the office isn’t working on anything, I was totally jazzed to make the journey and in turn forced Him to be excited.
We arrived right before the first film started and honestly couldn’t have had a more lovely time. The theater was great and the people at Exhumed Films were so fabulous that I wished we had arrived a little earlier so we could chat with them and buy some merch— I love giving nice people money, LOL.

You can click HERE to check out the films that we saw.

I seriously can’t wait until the next time we can drive up and involve ourselves in another Exhumed Films event; they are having a 24-Hour Horror Marathon in October but with my luck I’d buy our tickets and be stuck working that weekend since our show will, hopefully, be in full-swing by that time. =\

So yeah, that was our magical meuvie weekend and here I am off from work for the next 2 days and I hope to spend it watching more meuvies. Last week I was home for 3 days and felt so lost wandering around the apartment that I think I only watched one or two meuvies—- blasphemy!
