Weekend Hashtag Project: #WHPstoryinmotion
Weekend Hashtag Project is a series featuring designated themes & hashtags chosen by Instagram’s Community Team. For a chance to be featured on the Instagram blog, follow @instagram and look for a video announcing the weekend’s project every Friday.
Earlier this week, we introduced you to the storytelling videos of Japanese Instagrammer @hamadahideaki. You’ve seen his videos and the tips he’s shared—now it’s your turn! The goal this weekend is to create a video with multiple clips to tell the story of a moment. Some tips to get you started:
- Your story doesn’t have to be complex to be great. You have fifteen seconds, so aim to keep your subject matter simple.
- Play with different angles in each clip to highlight different parts of your story. Try recording footage up-close to show details, moving far away to set the scene with a wide shot, or even filming from above and below to keep things interesting.
- Don’t be afraid to record a lot of footage. The more you shoot, the more creative options you’ll have when you put your video together.
PROJECT RULES: Please only add the #WHPstoryinmotion hashtag to videos taken over this weekend and only submit your own videos to the project. Any image taken then tagged over the weekend is eligible to be featured right here Monday morning!
