Journeying to Antarctica

Antarctica is the coldest, driest, windiest and least hospitable continent on earth. But just because it is the only continent without an indigenous population does not mean we can’t explore its scenic, windswept landscape.

Each year, nearly 4,000 scientists and hundreds of adventurous tourists make the long journey south, sharing photos of themselves and native species–like penguins and seals–against a barren backdrop of ice and tundra.

As the holidays approach and the northern hemisphere prepares for winter, warmer spring climates are arriving in Antarctica. So make sure to check the #Antarctica hashtag periodically to share the Antarctic experience with those lucky enough to make the trip!
